Federal Law of December 28, 2013 No. 426-ФЗ “On a Special Assessment of Working Conditions” obliges all enterprise managers to conduct a special assessment of working conditions at the workplace in order to identify harmful and dangerous factors in the work environment and the labor process and determine the level of their impact on the employee given the effectiveness of protective measures. Based on its results, a class of working conditions is established at the enterprise. The law distinguishes 4 classes: optimal, permissible, harmful and dangerous. The special assessment is mandatory and affects the amount of insurance premiums paid by the employer to the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation.
